Technovation

Technovation Girls is a a global technology education nonprofit empowering girls and women to address issues in their community through innovative technologies such as mobile apps and artificial intelligence. I have played an active role in technovation since 2017 when I first participated in the competition. Since then, I have won the Ottawa chapter and made it to the worldwide semifinals as a competitor, been a team mentor, become an app developer for Technovation's curriculum builders, and have become a member of the Technovation Leadership Board pilot project.

Leadership Board Pilot Project

October 2022 - Present

This year, Technovation's Alumnae Program Director, Amy Eernisse-Liang, has invited me to be a part of Technovation's brand new pilot project: the Leadership Board. The idea is to gather a group of Technovation's alumnae (past competitors of the competition) and have them organize events for the rest of Technovation's alumni. We are planning to organize a global networking event for any interested alumni by December.

Option A

August 2022 - Present

Option A is an app I am currently working on to promote responsible consumption with Technovaiton.

In August 2022, I was invited to become a programmer to help advance and organize the curriculum for Technovation's competition this year. While I document my experience making the app, curriculum developers on my team will modify the competition's curriculum.

Further Development

My team is getting ready for the release of Option A in November 2022, when it will be accessible for download on IOS and the Play store. While Option A is still in its development stages, I actually would like to turn it into an organization with Technovation's help, and I will soon begin to develop it on Swift for IOS. Take a look at our pitch on the right!
