Take a look at my work experience
Qlik - Summer 2022
Front-End Developer Intern
For my first tech internship, I worked at Qlik, a business analytics company specializing in software for business intelligence and data integration. At Qlik, I got the first-time experience of working with experienced front-end developers to help improve the product. I was also introduced to the world of Data Literacy, Data Integration, and how these help Business Intelligence.
What did I do?
- Worked with cva/hub front-end development team to resolve bugs and issues in the Qlik Sense product
- Fixed bugs relating to accessibility so product meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Closed 50 PRs
- Became proficient in JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and Sass.
- Worked with VP Sustainability and DE&I to brainstorm how Data Analytics can help companies reach their sustainability goals
Data Analytics
Qlik introduced me to the world of data analytics, demonstrating the power of data in a corporate setting. In particular, with the help of Julie Kae (VP Sustainability and DE&I at Qlik), I helped make a Qlik application demonstrating how data relating to Corporate events, Transportation, Electricity use, and Cloud storage, can be analyzed to calculate total carbon emissions using GHG protocol in order to determine where emissions can be reduced, and how much offsets are needed to get to net 0 carbon emissions.
Viral?!

Technovation - Part-Time 2022-2023
App and Curriculum Developer
I am currently working with Technovation to develop an app for responsible Consumption. The app is called Option A and will be released for IOS and Android platforms in November 2022. I am developing the app on Thunkable, but I am looking to expand to Swift to increase useability on Apple devices. For more details on this project, please see my Projects page.
